Martin Family Reunion 2001

The Martin reunion was held at the Owakie, Kansas Township Hall in July 2001. Attendance was 116--nearly half of which were family of Chris and Millie Martin.
   Events included a catered luncheon, group photos, door prizes, card playing, visiting and entertainment
   Our thanks to door prize donors: Katherine Ragland, Rosmary Lester, Leota Martin, Roberta Sooter, and Violet and Ron Martin.
   Youngest attendees were Elizabeth Goodman, Mason Reaser and Hannah Lingard (daughter of Jason Wilson), all nearly two. Oldest attendee was Zora Martin.

Thanks to our reunion committee and spouses: Linda and Ken Wilson, Darlene and Harvey Morgans, Joan and Don Martin, Phyllis Gish, and Carol and Max Yoho.
    Also, thanks to Jack Martin for covering the cost of hall rental and to all who helped with set up and clean up.

Congratulations to this spring's graduates:
  • Kahla Martin graduated from high school in Lawrence, Kansas.
  • Andrea Martin graduated from high school in Wamego, Kansas.
  • Derek Gish completed his junior college program.
  • Stacie Martin graduated from Georgetown University in Washington D.C.

Our thoughts and prayers go to family who lost loved ones during the past year: Richard Martin, Beverly Phillippe and Kelly Martin and their families in the passing of Mary Martin. Also to Vivian Sooter, Tom Roberts and their families in the loss of their fathers.

  • Cabot William Martin was born Sept. 12, 2000, son of Roger and Lisa Martin.
  • Jason Wilson married Angela Carson on Sept. 16, 2000.
  • James Martin married Debbie O'Sullivan on Nov. 18, 200
