even born when this photo was taken—beside the front porch of the
Old Home Place in Jackson County, Kansas—in 1947. (Catherine was lost
as an infant. Debbie died in an accident as a young adult.)
No one would dare say that any of us are getting "older," but these photos show that we are all older now than we once were.
