****FACULTY POSITION - ANATOMIST***

Washburn University’s Biology Department invites applications for either a tenure-track faculty (Asst Professor) or a lecturer position in Anatomy beginning August 2009. A lecturer position carries the possibility of renewal and may be convertible to a tenure-line position upon completion of all tenure-track qualifications.

QUALIFICATIONS: Asst Prof position (required Ph.D. in Anatomy or related field), Lecturer (minimum requirement – Masters in Anatomy or related field); commitment to quality undergraduate education; preference given to candidates who demonstrated teaching excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach courses in Human Anatomy plus other courses such as Embryology, Histology, Physiology and Introductory Biology according to departmental need and candidate's expertise; dissect human cadavers & maintain cadaver lab; and (for Asst Prof position) establish a successful research program involving undergraduate students. Rank/salary commensurate with experience; $35-45K range.
