Research Interests:
I am an organismal biologist interested in the relationships between functional morphology and behavioral ecology. Though most of my research work involves snakes, I use a variety of approaches: I conduct behavioral studies to gain insight into neurobiology and functional studies as a window to explore the ecological radiation of snakes. Most of my work is laboratory-based experimentation, but I regularly conduct field studies. While there are many exceptions, most of my research work is in two general areas; bioacoustics and venom injection.
