Erin Chamberlain

Assistant Professor Erin Chamberlain joined the Washburn English department in 2008. She holds a Ph.D. from Purdue University in 19th-century British literature, as well as degrees from Ohio University (M.A.) and Hanover College (B.A.). Before coming to Washburn, Prof. Chamberlain taught Romantic and Victorian literature at the University of Oklahoma. She has also taught courses at Ohio, Purdue, and Oklahoma in the English Novel, Fiction, Literature, Drama, Mythology, Advanced Composition, and Professional Writing. Her teaching and research interests examine the intersections between class, gender, appearance, and space in both Victorian literature and 19th-century English culture.
