Jean Dimmitt

Associate Professor Jean Dimmitt received a B.A. from Longwood College, an M.A. from the University of Virginia, and her Ph.D. from the University of Kansas before joining the English Department at Washburn in 1990. Dr. Dimmitt directs the department’s secondary education program. She teaches advanced composition with a teaching emphasis, the methods course, and Young Adult Literature. She also supervises those majors doing their student teaching.
