ORDINARY GENIUS 

was selected as one of the 15 Kansas Notable Books of 2005 by a panel of judges
selected from the Kansas Center for the Book Board of Affiliates and state media.  
The judges considered over seventy books published during 2005 and recommended 15 titles
to the State Librarian for her final decision.

Thomas Fox Averill was presented with a certificate and medal at the first annual Kansas Book Festival,
held September 29-30, 2006, in Wichita, Kansas.
