Personal Profile: Something about me
Emerita Professor Status : As of May 2009 I've become a WU Professor Emerita - meaning I'm now fully retired from regular, full-time faculty employment. Nothing much has changed in terms of my teaching status, except that I've actually begun teaching more - all online. My online teaching schedule for Summer 2009: HI 100 Early World History (8 week session) and HI 101 Changing World History (2nd 5 week session). Online Fall 2009: HI 101 and HI 354 Modern Middle East (both regular 16 week sessions).
On-line Professional Activities and Web Resources:
Useful Links for World History Teachers: http://www.washburn.edu/cas/history/stucker/WebLinks.html. The beginnings of an eventually much larger site containing annotated listings of websites containing resources in some way useful for world history instruction

Advanced PowerPoint: Things You Can Do, Ways You Can Use It: http://www.washburn.edu/cas/history/stucker/AdvPPT.html. Online version of a faculty development workshop on PowerPoint for classroom and online instructors
H-Net: Humanities and Social Sciences OnLine: A great network of over 100 networks of websites and discussion lists mostly for active academics. Go especially to the network I co-edit, H-Teach, an internet discussion network focused on teaching university-level history; also member of the H-Net Council
Kansas Humanities
Council: although after 15 years
I've finally retired from the KHC Speakers Bureau, I still sometimes travel
