Study Abroad

The Department of Modern Languages strongly recommends study for a period of time in a country where the foreign language is spoken (a summer or a semester). Substantial scholarships are available for language majors and minors with a 3.0 GPA. Washburn University has direct exchange programs for the majors in French, German and Spanish with the following institutions:
- Fachhochschule Osnabrück (Osnabrück, Germany; for student learning German; Special program in English for business students)
