Fernando Pezzino was born in Argentina, where he obtained his B.A. in Theatre at Universidad Nacional de Tucumán. He taught theatre and worked in several theatrical productions as well. He came to the United States in 2002 and obtained his M.A. in Spanish (Spanish and Latin American Literature) at Arizona State University.
He joined the Washburn University Faculty board in 2008. Pezzino research interests focus on contemporary Latin American novel, theatre and film with an emphasis on the Southern Cone.
