Jazz Ensembles

Jazz Ensemble I

• Director of Jazz Studies, Craig Treinen, leads Jazz Ensemble I, a group well-known for its musicianship. Jazz Ensemble I has won the praise of adjudicators and audiences alike in prestigious jazz festivals throughout the region. Membership is by audition.

Jazz Ensemble II

• Jazz Ensemble II is under the direction of Craig Trienen, Director of Percussion Studies. It performs on-campus concerts each semester. Auditions are held each fall for membership.

Jazz Combos

• Several Jazz Combos are active during the year, including the prestigious Payless ShoeSource Jazz Combo, whose members audition for this top scholarship group.
