Harold Rood
 

  Professor Rood was born and raised in Lansing, Michigan. He attended Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. He started college as a major in civil engineering. Later he developed interests in political science and philosophy. He graduated with the Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in philosophy and minor in political science. Subsequently, he received the degrees of Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy.

Professor Rood's primary interest has been formal logic and the application of logic to computer program design. He is author of Logic and Structured Design for Computer Programmers, PWS-Kent, 1985; PWS Publishing Company, 1992; Brooks/Cole, 2001.
