DIRECTOR'S NOTES The six short plays by David Ives vary in substance and tone. they do, however, have an important commonality. They are funny, fantastical, and they all deal with time. whether it is the Mayfiels in Time Flies, or the young man in Mexico who believes he is dying, or the long-suffering Maypole repairman, the characters make choices of how to spend their time on earth.
