Theresa, a successful journalist, meets Tony on a
blind date. She decides that she does not want to pursue the
relationship. He thinks differently. Rebecca Gilman’s disturbing
drama of contemporary dating, Boy Gets Girl, premiered at Chicago’s
Goodman Theatre during the 1999-2000 season. The recipient of the
Joseph Jefferson Award for the Best New Play, Boy Gets Girl was
subsequently Time Magazine’s pick for the #1 Play of the Year.
