Schedule an Appointment

Appointments are required for fall, spring or summer enrollment.  We provide students with 30 or 60 minute appointments to give them the best possible assistance.

In addition, students who need assistance with major exploration, degree & academic plans, or other academic counseling may schedule an appointment.

There are always walk-in advisors available for current-semester issues such as:

• Dropping or Adding Courses
• Withdrawing from the University
• Issues with current classes
• Transfer equivalency questions

Please note that if you have declared your major, you are advised in your academic department and will need to contact them for assistance.

Preparing for your advising appointment:

• Have your student ID card or WIN
• Print a current degree audit if you are considering a specific major
• Make a list of possible courses you are interested in taking
• Make sure you have logged in and set up your “my.washburn”  account
• Review the Advising Syllabus
• Make sure to arrive on time for your appointment
• Make a list of any questions you may have
