A Green Team is a group of volunteers that work to improve environmentally responsible stewardship practices such as recycling, waste reduction and environmentally responsible purchasing practices in their own place of work or school. The Washburn Green Team Program provides guidelines, ideas, information and tools to help you implement these practices. By participation in this program at Washburn, you will be helping to lead by example and increase awareness of responsible stewardship practices which promotes energy conservation, pollution prevention, resource conservation and economic development.
In addition to participating as a green team volunteer, Washburn students can become an Ecobod, a student organization sponsored by the Biology Department and led by Dr. Kellis Bayless. Learn more about becoming a green team volunteer or becoming an Ecobod.
