Washburn Institute of Technology (Washburn Tech) seeks candidates for a part-time, temporary Conference Center and Meeting Coordinator position. The incumbent will report to the Administrative Specialist in the Dean’s Office.
This position’s primary function is scheduling and planning events held on the Washburn Tech campus. Types of events include staff development and trainings, visits from government officials and business and industry partners, admissions and recruiting events, board and private group meetings and luncheons, and luncheons and open houses.
Assigned tasks include:
REQUIRED: High School diploma or GED. Excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to adapt to changing needs in fast-paced and unpredictable situations, to work a flexible schedule according to event scheduling needs, to move and maneuver equipment and materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
PREFERRED: Prior event planning experience.
