Marketing Coordinator, Half-Time
Small Business Development Center

Human Resources seeks candidates for a half-time Marketing Coordinator position in the Small Business Development Center (SBDC).  The employee reports to the Regional Director, SBDC.  The work schedule for this position is 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct activities to market the Washburn SBDC service offerings of one-to-one consulting through the current web site, social media platforms, and other media outlets.

Coordinate and promote training and educational seminars for the nine county region served by SBDC through traditional marketing techniques, social media platforms, and guerrilla marketing tactics.

Develop and distribute marketing content for the center and center web site to include seminar flyers, advertisements, letters, monthly newsletter, and email campaigns.

Create content and distribute material to promote the Washburn SBDC, incorporating success stories that illustrate results achieved by SBDC clients.  Post and maintain information on the SBDC website and issue press releases to provide timely information to website visitors and other SBDC stakeholders.  Monitor social media platforms to remain cognizant of information relevant to SBDC interests and to gain information about the SBDC's reputation among the communities it serves.

Provide consulting services to clients on marketing strategies, tactics, and techniques related to traditional marketing, guerrilla marketing, and new media methods of marketing.

Complete and submit all necessary reports and address administrative requirements to evaluate, summarize and assess completed seminars and client counseling. 

Complete special projects and perform other duties as assigned by the Regional Director.
QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED:  Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience in marketing.

PREFERRED:  Experience with web site development.
