Washburn University’s Department of Allied Health in Topeka, KS invites applications for the position of Bachelor of Health Science Program Coordinator with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2018. This position is a 12-month full-time non-tenure track faculty appointment with possible conversion to tenure track after three- year review.
The responsibilities of this position will include: Administration of the Bachelor of Health Science program (Health Services Administration and Medical Imaging majors); teaching assigned courses, planning and implementing curriculum, advising students and engaging in recruitment efforts; maintaining on-campus office hours per departmental policies; and engagement in Service (professional, university and community). Position reports to the Department Chair of Allied Health. Salary competitive and commensurate with education/experience.
Required Education/Experience: 1) minimum of a master’s degree in a health related discipline or health administration (consideration of master candidates, master must be earned on or before May 2019); 2) minimum of three years’ administrative experience in a hospital or health services organization.
Preferred qualifications: 1) Doctoral degree; 2) Experience in online education or with use of online learning management systems; 3) Evidence of scholarly work, and a history of active involvement in a professional healthcare related association.
