Vacancy - Mathematics/Statistics Lecturer

Washburn University's Department of Mathematics and Statistics invites applications for the position of Lecturer beginning August 2014.  This position is a full-time 9-month, non-tenure track appointment as a Lecturer with possibility of renewal. Washburn University is dedicated to the highest level of instruction.

 Required qualifications:

    Master’s degree or higher in mathematics, statistics, or related field by date of hire

    Experience and demonstrated success in teaching mathematics and/or statistics 

Preferred qualifications:

    Experience and demonstrated success in teaching pre-calculus level courses

    Experience using technology in instruction

    Course work in statistics

    Experience teaching introductory statistics 

Responsibilities:

    As part of a 12-credits-per-semester teaching load, the position comprises teaching a variety of pre-calculus level courses and/or introductory statistics courses.

    Maintaining on campus office hours
