I am conducting a longitudinal study with Mary Wolfersberger, titled, “An Effective Adaptation of a Comprehension Strategy with Jamaican Preschool and Primary Grade Students.” The first data collection took place in May, 2006, and will be continued twice yearly, every January and May. The initial assessment involved 46 children ages three, four, and five-years of age. at Wards Park Basic School. Additional assessments were conducted at Hatfield Primary and Junior High, with one hundred and twenty third graders. Along with a colleague, designed and developed interactive video courseware on telecomputing for teacher training. The maximum $1,400 was awarded. 1986. Principal Investigator. Conducted a pilot research project in cooperation with Public School 192 (in Harlem). Twenty parents and children attended classes to learn Logo computer programming at the newly formed Center for Computers and Learning, City College. New York City, NY. 1986. A $10,000 grant from CUNY to design, operate and evaluate a computer‑assisted instructional laboratory for students in the CUNY/GED program at City College, New York City, NY. 1985‑1986. Principal Investigator. A research project in two suburban New Jersey elementary schools. The cooperative interaction of one hundred twenty eight preschool and primary school aged students were assessed using a wooden manipulative game and Falk's (McConnell-Farmer’s) Marble‑Pull Game, a computerized version. 1984.
