Paul Fecteau's writing and research confront the unknown with relentlessness, occasionally tinged with a stray burst of irreverent humor. Some random highlights of Paul's career have included teaching a special seminar titled Conspiracy Theories in Postmodern Literature at Washburn University, making an overnight stay in Atchison's infamous Sally House which is said to be a sight of demonic possession, lecturing as a Kansas Humanities Scholar on Truman Capote's In Cold Blood, and accompanying Kari Kupcinet to the West Hollywood apartment where her aunt, the actress Karyn Kupcinet, was found murdered in 1963. He, nevertheless, often quotes the Hunter S. Thompson line, "It never got weird enough for me."

Paul's weird fiction has been collected in an e-book titled Barely Bound: Tales of Horror (eFM Press, 2011) which pairs his work with stories by John McClenny. A couple of the selections from Barely Bound remain available in print in the softcover anthologies Rare (Disc-Us Books, 2001) and Darkness Rising (Prime Books, 2003).

Paul earned an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Wichita State University in 1997 after completing a thesis of stories titled Earthbound Spirits. His undergraduate work was completed at Kansas State University where he won the 1990 Touchstone Short Fiction Award.

Paul works as Licensed Private Detective and owner of Raven Investigations L.L.C. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Criminal Justice at Washburn University.
