BU 979 Investments Class Discussion Videos and Articles for Class Discussion
Mind Over Money is a 1-hour program produced for the PBS program Nova. The program documents how competing economic theories -- primarily the Efficient Markets Hypothesis vs. the emerging field of Behavioral Finance -- offer alternative explanations for the behavior of investors and consumers, and how effective each theory is at explaining the events that lead to financial crises in general, and the 2008-09 financial crisis in particular. The video is shown in 3 parts and streams in Windows Media Player. Instructions on how to complete the assignment are contained in the study guide question file: Mind Over Money Study Guide Questions. The assignment should be completed by Mon., Sept 10. Please bring a hard copy of your assignment to class on that day.
