Library Instruction at Washburn University is driven by the information literacy competencies of the Association of College and Research Libraries. Library Instruction sessions are a cooperative venture between the teaching and the Library faculty. We will teach students at any level the research skills necessary for their programs. Librarians will work with teaching faculty to customize each Library Instruction session for the needs of a particular assignment or paper. The sessions are designed in a variety of formats and styles to accommodate the library research needs of each class, and usually include both print and electronic sources. Library Instruction sessions are normally the length of one class period, and are held in the Information Literacy Suite, Room 206B, Mabee Library.
