Clinical Laboratory Scientist



  • Washburn University's Clinical Laboratory Science Program is an 11.5-month program beginning each year in May.
  • After meeting all of the specific undergraduate prerequisite requirements, students may apply to enter the program for their senior year.
  • Coursework includes lectures, laboratory exercises, small group activities, case studies and the hands-on experience working one-on-one with a clinical laboratory scientist running patient samples in a hospital laboratory.
  • Washburn University's Clinical Laboratory Science Program, in partnership with the University of Nebraska Medical Center, offers students the ability to complete their final year of clinical study in the Topeka and surrounding area.
  • Priority deadline for application is Dec. 1 with later submissions considered on a space-available basis.
