School of Business Departmental Scholarships
In recognition of the quality of School of Business programs, many alumni, community leaders, and organizations have given generously to support academic excellence with financial aid. Because of their generosity we are able to offer scholarships to both incoming and current students of Washburn University.

Marcoux Leadership Scholarship- Application deadline is February 15th, if selected, awards will be given for the following fall and spring semester (Paper application that must be received in the School of Business office on or before the deadline date). If chosen to receive a leadership scholarship students are no longer eligible for an academic scholarship (i.e. only one award will be given). For incoming freshmen you must have a 26 or higher on your ACT and a high school GPA of 3.0 or higher. Current students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher to be eligible.
Study Abroad Scholarship- Application Deadline for spring study abroad is December 1st, the summer and fall deadline is April 1st (Paper application that must be received in the School of Business office on or before the deadline date). If selected, awards will be applied towards tuition expenses only for the term abroad. To be eligible you must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and have a minimum of 24 hours completed.
Entrepreneurship Scholarship- Application Deadline is February 15th, if selected, awards will be given for the following fall and spring semester (Paper application that must be received in the School of Business office on or before the deadline date). To be eligible you must be taking or have taken courses that apply towards the Certificate in Entrepreneurship offered by the School of Business.
Academic Scholarship as a New Student- Application deadline is February 15th, if selected, awards will be given for the following fall and spring semester (Online application, be sure to print off your confirmation page to ensure that it was properly submitted). For incoming freshmen you must have a score of 24 or higher on the ACT and a high school cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. For incoming transfer students you must have a cumulative college GPA of 3.25 or higher to be eligible. Both freshmen and transfer students will need to submit a declaration in business by the end of the first term at Washburn to maintain their eligibility.
Academic Scholarship as a Current Student- Application deadline is February 15th, if selected, awards will be given for the following fall and spring semester (Online application, be sure to print off your confirmation page to ensure that it was properly submitted). To be eligible you must have a cumulative college GPA of 3.25 or higher and should be making normal progress towards the completion of the BBA degree.
Every student who qualifies for a School of Business scholarship will also qualify for a Washburn University Academic scholarship. Every student who visits Washburn should be given this brochure as part of their new student packet or you may pick one up at the Admissions Office in Morgan room 114.
