Undergraduate students receiving a bachelor's degree who meet the University's requirements to receive these honors will be awarded the appropriate Honor Cords to be worn during the commencement ceremony. University policy is to use the lower of either the overall grade point average or the Washburn only GPA in calculating Latin Honors. Honor Cords will be presented to Bachelor Degree candidates only at the time you pick up your card for commencement prior to the ceremony.
Candidates for degree will receive an email, sent by the auditors in the University Registrar's Office to their MyWashburn account, indicating their projected Latin Honors. Any concerns about Latin Honors must be addressed before the day of the Commencement Ceremony. Issues regarding Latin Honors will not be addressed when candidates pick up their name cards prior to the ceremony. If you do not receive an email, or if you have any questions, please contact the Degree Auditors at audits@washburn.edu.
LATIN HONOR CORDS DO NOT APPLY TO ASSOCIATE OR MASTER DEGREES.
