Your underwater future may be purely for recreation, exploring coral reefs or shipwrecks. Diving for the fun of it is why most people take up SCUBA diving. It is an activity that is challenging, requires a degree of skill, physical and mental fitness and it is immensely rewarding.

Marine biology, UW archeology, military, industry and public safety are just a few of the careers that seek the skills of divers. I'm sure you know than the Navy uses divers but did you know that NASA employs divers? The National Park Service? FBI? Many research positions give preference to certified divers.
