How to Apply for a Graduate PLUS Loan
STEP 0:
Please complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
STEP 1:
If you have not already accepted your student loans, login to MyWashburn. After logging in, click on the Student tab. Look for Student Self-Service and under Financial Aid select "Accept/Decline Financial Aid Awards"
STEP 2:
Graduate PLUS Loan Entrance Counseling MUST be completed by all first-time Washburn University Federal Graduate PLUS Loan borrowers and may be done online. Once you click on this link to begin your loan counseling you will leave WU’s Web site.
STEP 3:
Complete the Federal Direct Graduate PLUS Loan Master Promissory Note online and electronically sign your loan application. After clicking on your choice, you will leave WU’s Web site. You will need to contact the Direct loan processing center if you have questions about their Web site or loan application process.
