"Administrative/Professional" employees are salaried, and as such are considered exempt under the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act. Master's degree with emphasis in technical education, educational administration or in a field of study related to one or more of the instructional programs offered at Washburn Tech.  Increasing responsibilities in managerial and leadership roles in higher education institutions.  Proven communication skills and ability to work effectively with communities both internal and external to Washburn Tech including business, industry, and the local high schools.  Experience in grant development and budget management.  Understanding of state and federal regulations related to technical education as well as higher education.

Doctorate with emphasis in technical education, educational administration or a field of study related to one or more of the instructional programs offered.  Experience as a faculty member in adult or higher education.  Experience with facilities development and expansion, with secondary public/private partnerships, and in fund-raising.

Health Occupations Coordinator

MSN and experience in nursing administration or teaching.  Current Kansas RN license with no disciplinary action pending.  Ability to attend meetings off campus and around the state.

Advanced Systems Technology Teacher

High School diploma or GED equivalent.  2 years of full-time related work experience or 4000 hours of part-time experience in Advanced Systems Technology/Industrial Maintenance Technology.  Ability to move and/or maneuver equipment and materials weighing as much as 50 pounds.

Bachelor’s degree.  2 years of  teaching experience at post-secondary level.  Experience with mediated learning technologies and non-traditional delivery formats.  Experience with any of the following:  PLCs, motor control circuits, robotics, process control, mechanical power transfer, hydraulics, pneumatics and pumps.
