Human Resources seeks individuals who are forward looking, visionary leaders with great entrepreneurial, strategic and strong analytic skills and the ability to galvanize a student centered, university-wide admissions effort to lead a team of devoted, talented staff as the University’s Director of Admissions. The Director reports to the Executive Director of Enrollment Management, and works cooperatively with members of the University’s senior leadership team, faculty, staff, alumni and trustees, to provide strategic direction and leadership for a data-driven, results-oriented admissions program that is consistent with the goals and mission of Washburn University. RESPONSIBILITIES

Assigned duties and responsibilities include the following:
Provide leadership, direction and supervision to empower an energetic and dynamic Admissions staff charged with planning and hosting admissions events, recruiting students and carrying out other assignments and activities according to marketing and recruitment plans.
Work with a variety of internal and external constituencies such as faculty, deans, directors, high school counselors, principals, and local community members to create and implement differentiated and highly personalized marketing and recruitment plans that take full advantage of available technologies and resourceful personnel to maximize enrollment.
Working with the Executive Director of Enrollment Management and other departments, assist in the development of a comprehensive undergraduate enrollment management plan that supports the University’s mission and strategic goals.
Using analytical skills, create reports, matrices, and dashboards for a data rich environment within Admissions to assess, inform, and make data driven decisions for new student enrollment.
Project Admissions costs and expenditures for the coming fiscal year, compile and submit budget requests and recommendations to the Executive Director for approval and inclusion in Enrollment Management budget requests. Manage current Admissions Office Budgets, monitoring and approving expenditures as appropriate and necessary.
Perform other duties as required in support of Admissions, Enrollment Management and University goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED: Master’s degree by beginning of employment and 5 years of progressively responsible experience in admissions office administration. Supervisory experience in an admissions operation. Experience working with diverse populations. Demonstrated qualities of integrity and intellectual curiosity; superior communications, organizational and interpersonal skills; expertise in facilitating organizational development and change; an understanding of innovative uses of technology in the recruitment process; significant strategic and analytical capacity; technological savvy; a collaborative work style and commitment to excellence. Valid Kansas driver's license with acceptable driving record under University standards, or the ability to obtain a licensure upon employment.
PREFERRED: 8 years of progressively responsible experience managing a complex higher education recruitment and admissions program.
