Administrative Position Openings



"Administrative" employees are salaried, and as such are considered exempt from the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act. The application procedures for these positions require that you submit a letter of application, resume, transcript(s), resume supplement, and names and phone numbers of three references for each vacancy. Vacancies are listed each week in the Sunday edition of the Topeka Capital-Journal and depending upon the type of vacancy, may also be advertised in the Chronicle of Higher Education, the Kansas City Star or other local papers, as well as numerous placement offices and employment organizations.

Nurse Practitioner, Student Health Services

Master's degree in nursing.  ARNP Certification.

2 years' clinical experience.  Gynecologic care experience.

Salary is low $60K. 

Director of Admissions

Master's degree.  5 years' progressively responsible experience managing a complex higher education recruitment and admissions program.  Superior analytical ability; demonstrated knowledge of targeted marketing, geo-demography, predictive modeling and net tuition revenue; success using integrated technology-based information systems, customer relation management tools and document imaging applications.  Valid driver's license with driving record acceptable to University standards.

Senior Network Administrator, Information Systems and Services

Bachelor's degree.  4 years' immediately prior experience in LAN network administration including management of Cisco switches and routers.  Experience with Cisco PIX and/or ASA firewalls.  Experience in configuring TCP/IP routing.  Demonstrated ability to work well as part of a diverse technical team. Current CCNA certification or ability to attain CCNA certification within 6 months of hire.  Ability to move, maneuver and raise/lower equipment weighing as much as 50 pounds to waist height and for 20 feet.

CCNP, CWNA, and/or MCP certifications.  Experience with VLANs, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, WANs and/or routing.
