Scholarships/Academic Programs
The Washburn University Leadership Institute seeks to engage students interested in developing personal and professional leadership skills. These students have the opportunity to expand their leadership perspective while completing programs within the Institute.
Students interested in receiving Leadership Scholarships must fulfill the requirements of the Leadership Studies Certificate Program. The program is designed to develop students as leaders through the Washburn Leadership Experience. Those who complete the program will graduate with a traditional major coupled with the leadership knowledge and skills necessary to become influential leaders in their communities.
Leadership development can also be achieved by completing the leadership emphasis of the Washburn Transformational Experience. Students combine leadership education and experience to satisfy this graduation requirement. Those who complete the Leadership Studies Certificate Program will also fulfill their WTE.
