Leadership Impact
Once a leadership student is on campus, the Washburn Leadership Experience focuses on the growth of the Washburn leader as experienced through four steps of leader development (phase 2-5 of the Washburn Leadership Experience). The second step of this experience is focused on Leadership Impact.
Leadership Impact is designed to provide opportunities to learn how to influence positive changes within various environments in which they are involved. It is centered on the development of the leadership student's global mindset as outlined in the Core Leadership Philosophy. Leadership students will explore the ethics of leadership as they begin to apply their worldview to leadership situations (LE 200). Students will also participate in a Leadership Impact workshop during the course of this phase, along with establishing their own personal ethics statement as part of their leadership curricula.
Other leadership activities are offered as students progress through all phases of the Washburn Leadership Experience. These include speakers, conferences, round-tables and other value-added experiences.
