MSN - Adult Nurse Practitioner Description
The Adult Nurse Practitioner specialty prepares the graduate for eligibility as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) in Kansas. Graduates are eligible to seek national certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner. Adult Nurse Practitioners provide clients with health education, health promotion and maintenance interventions. They assume responsibility with individuals and families to maintain and promote health, care for people with acute and chronic illness and provide supportive and restorative measures for realization of maximum health potential of adults.
The 45-credit hour curriculum adheres to guidelines provided by pertinent credentialing and regulating organizations while creating a flexible and contemporary graduate education. All graduates possess an advanced core of knowledge to assess and manage health within complex systems.
