Car Burglary

Car burglary is when an unauthorized or unknown person(s) unlawfully enters a car to steal property from inside the vehicle. Theft is most often a crime of opportunity and by eliminating that opportunity you are less likely to become a victim of crime.

Items commonly stolen from cars include cash, computers, cell phones, wallets/purses, paperwork, and garage door openers. Special interest must be given to garage door openers; once a criminal has your garage door opener and information that has your address the criminal now has access to your house.
