Important information for the week of
November 16, 2009
ADVANCE REGISTRATION FOR SPRING 2010 CONTINUES -- see below for complete details; here is the registration schedule for this week:
Students may register on their assigned date and on the last day of their three day alphabetical/classification block. They may also register after their specified alphabetical/classification block. Dates are determined by students' classification, including their current courses in progress, and the first letter of their last name. Please note that Advance Registration is closed during weekends.
Here is an example of the mechanics of the alphabetical/classification blocks: Ichabod Washburn is classified as a junior. The first day he can register is Thursday, November 5th. He will be unable to register on Friday, November 6th, when the second half (A-L) of the juniors register, and on Saturday and Sunday, November 7th and 8th, when registration is closed for the weekend. He will be able to register again on Monday, November 9th, and at any point thereafter (excluding weekends during Advance Registration).
Monday, November 16: Freshmen
last names beginning with A-L
Tuesday, November 17: all Freshmen
Wednesday, November 18: OPEN REGISTRATION BEGINS: Current students (i.e. students enrolled for Fall 2009 who did not advance register), new students, and returning students may register during Open Registration, which extents from November 18, 2009 through January 18, 2010 (including weekends).
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THIS WEEK:
- Students wishing to change their residency status from out-of-state to in-state may now make appointments with the Associate Registrar.
- Enrollment PINs for Spring 2010 are now available. Students should be sure to meet with their advisors to receive their PIN, which they will need to advance register for Spring 2010 courses.
- At this point in the semester, if you have already enrolled in classes but would like to add an additional class for the Fall, you must have the instructor's permission. You should contact the instructor of the class you wish to add, who will then enter a late add override into the system. Once the instructor has entered the override, you will add the class via MyWashburn. A more detailed explanation of the late add procedure can be found on page seven of the Fall Registration Information Guide. If you have further questions, please contact our office at (785) 670-1074.
UPCOMING DATES TO BE AWARE OF:
- November 25-29: Thanksgiving Recess
