Application for Degree Instructions
Students planning to complete an Associate's, Baccalaureate, or Master's degree must file an Application for Degree Form in the University Registrar's Office in order to initiate a graduation check. The graduation check will be completed early in the semester/term in which the student plans to graduate. The student will then be informed by e-mail indicating if everything is in order, or by letter stating that the student must contact the department to determine a plan of action if requirements must still be met.
The form should be filed in September for the Fall semester, and in February for the Spring semester and summer term (see the academic calendar for the exact dates). A student is not a Candidate for Degree until the University Registrar's Office has the form on file.
Students who do not graduate in the semester/term they specified on the Application for Degree form must file another application for the subsequent semester/term in which they plan to graduate.
To file an Application for Degree Form, you may print and complete the form (below) and either:
- mail it to the address below, or
- fax it to (785) 670-1104, or
- bring it by the Office of the University Registrar, 115 Morgan Hall.
