This web page provides information regarding all four of the WTE programs (Scholarly or Creative, Community Service, Leadership, International Education) and will hopefully answer all your questions concerning the WTE. If all your questions are not answered, feel free to contact one of the WTE Area Directors (see below). They are happy to help you in any way they can.
The WTE is a program that was created in order to provide Washburn University students with amazing opportunities and experiences. The main objective of the WTE program is to transform students into a new kind of individual (e.g., more worldly, more knowledgeable). Students will be able to accomplish goals and experience opportunities they never dreamed possible. The WTE goes beyond the everyday classroom experience by allowing students to choose and create projects that reflect their interests. Each student is responsible for making their WTE experience as great and amazing as they want it to be.
Washburn students who complete a WTE project gain a competitive edge when applying for jobs or to graduate/law/medical schools. The challenges and creativity provided through the WTE will no doubt change how students not only view themselves, but the world around them as well. Be proud to be a Washburn student and be proud that Washburn provides such an amazing opportunity aimed at creating successful, top notch students.
