Mulvane Mountain/Plains Art Fair was on June 6 and 7.

Creativity was at its best during the Mulvane Art Museum’s 17th annual Mountain/Plains Art Fair, June 6 & 7 on the campus of Washburn University.

Ninety artists from across the country displayed paintings, drawings, prints, photography, jewelry and work in fiber, glass, wood, bronze, steel, ceramics and textiles. The Art Fair also featured musical entertainment, a hands-on art activity for children, and a food and beverage court.

The Art Fair hours were Saturday, June 6, 10am-6pm and Sunday, June 7, 10am-4pm. Admission was $6.00 at the gate, children 12 and under were admitted free of charge.
$1 off coupons were available at www.cjonline.com or on this page. The Art Fair was at a new location on the campus of Washburn University this year and was held to the east of the Memorial Union.

The Museum’s Art Fair is an annual fundraising event organized by the Friends of the Mulvane Art Museum, and proceeds support the Museum’s education programs for children.

2009 Art Fair sponsors included: Washburn University, Topeka Capital Journal, Bartlett & West Engineers, Inc., Capitol Federal Foundation, Jones Huyett Partners, Strathman Sales Company, Inc., Mainline Printing, Inc., Jostens Printing & Publishing, Kansas Gas Service, Alliance Bank, and Woner, Glenn, Girard & Riordan, P.A. Musical entertainment was sponsored by Capital City Bank.

Free parking was located on campus off of 17th and Washburn.
