Our exhibition and acquisition policies emphasize Kansas artists and artists of the Mountain-Plains region, the area extending across the mid-North American plains to the Continental Divide. Approximately two-thirds of our exhibits each year feature the work of regional artists.

The exhibit includes 60 of the artist's infinitely inventive and witty hybrid instruments--film reel and tennis racket guitars, cowboy boot violins, ax cellos and styrofoam packaging pianos. |

Internationally known artist Patrick Dougherty's site specific sculpture with native tree saplings, Topiary with a Twist, will be shown on the Museum's grounds through 2011. |
