The Topeka RoadRunners are partnering with Washburn University and other local colleges for “Greek Night at Landon Arena” to take place during the game against the Texas Tornado on Friday, March 2nd.
The RoadRunners are inviting all affiliated college students to come out to the game and represent their fraternities/sororities as well as take part in the in-game festivities.
In addition to the antics of Reggie the RoadRunner, fans will be treated to a performance by The Washburn Ichabod and The Dancing Blues during the game’s first intermission. Other local area mascots will be on hand to entertain the crowd along with Reggie and Ichabod.
Fans in attendance will get the chance to win great prizes provided by the RoadRunners’ many sponsors during the game.
“We feel that this night is a great opportunity for these kids to take a break from cramming for mid-terms, to have a fun night out with their friends, and to enjoy the unique and exciting experience that is RoadRunners hockey,” said Donald Stone III, Vice President of Operations.
Tickets for “Greek Night” are available at the Greek Council table at Washburn University’s Memorial Union between the hours of 11 am and 1 p.m. until Friday, March 2nd. Ticket information for this and all other upcoming games can be found at www.topekaroadrunners.com or by calling 785-286-7825.
This is the RoadRunners’ final series against Texas this season. The RoadRunners are 2-2 against Texas and enter the series with a 32-15-3 record (67 pts) having already clinched a playoff berth.
