“Dark matter” and “Dark energy” are two of the greatest mysteries in science today. We know they exist, but what are they? What impact will they have on the fate of the universe? Bharat Ratra, professor, physics and astronomy, Kansas State University will describe what we know, how we know it and what the implications may be at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 29 in room 138, Stoffer Science Hall, Washburn University. The event is free and open to the public.
The Physics and Engineering and Chemistry clubs are sponsoring the event. For more information, contact Brian Thomas, associate professor, physics and astronomy, at (785) 670-2144.
