See creativity at its best during the Mulvane Art Museum’s 20th annual Mountain/Plains Art Fair June 2 and 3 on Washburn University campus.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 2 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 3. Tickets are $6 at the gate; children 12 and under are free.
Eighty-four artists from across the country will display paintings, drawings, prints, photography, jewelry and work in fiber, glass, wood, bronze, steel, ceramics and textiles. In addition to musical entertainment and a food court, the fair will also features a hands-on art making activities for families where they can paint on the mural wall and make their own hats.
Musical entertainment will be provided by Pastense (11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturday and noon - 2 p.m. Sunday); The Ashley Davis Band (1 - 3 p.m. Saturday) and Bridges (3 - 5 p.m. Saturday and 2 - 4 p.m. Sunday).
The art fair is an annual fundraising event of the Mulvane Art Museum and is organized by the Friends of the Mulvane Art Museum.
