Washburn to kickoff United Way campaign today
Washburn University and Washburn
Institute of Technology will LIVE UNITED® and show it as they kickoff their
United Way campaign with similar events in two locations Wednesday, April 11.
Kickoff locations:
2 p.m. Whiting Field House
3:30 p.m. Washburn Institute of Technology Conference Center
Kickoff agenda:
• Washburn President Jerry Farley will talk about Washburn’s partnership with
United Way and what it means to LIVE UNITED.
• United Way representative will speak.
• Dance performance by the Ichabod mascot, along with two members of the
Washburn Dancing Blues to “I’m Sexy and I Know It.”
Many special events have been planned by Washburn's United Way committee to
raise awareness about the United Way of Greater Topeka during this month.
Faculty, staff and students will have an opportunity to pledge their support to
the United Way from April 11 through May 4.
