The annual Washburn Tech Job Fair will be held Thursday, April 12 for employers to meet Washburn Tech students and soon-to-be graduates seeking employment. Over 25 employers representing manufacturing, construction, health care, insurance, transportation, employment services, entertainment, retail, and the armed forces are participating. Employers are from Shawnee, Jefferson, Douglas, Brown, Nemaha, Dickinson, and Johnson counties in Northeast Kansas.

The job fair is an opportunity for the approximately 800 students at Washburn Tech to acquire information about employment as well as the chance to distribute their resumes and promote their skills to potential employers. Washburn Tech also supports its students’ employment search by offering job readiness seminars including resume writing, applying for a job, and interviewing techniques.

Washburn Tech’s partnerships with area businesses and industries continue to provide great benefits to our students, graduates, area employers and the Northeast Kansas region. The Career Fair brings together those students and potential employers in order to support our region.

Washburn Tech is a 2-year institution where students can obtain relevant technical skills, taught by highly skilled, knowledgeable instructors that prepare them for the job market.
