“Statistical Process Control in the Call Center” will be discussed by David Price, assistant professor, marketing, and Bill Roach, professor, management, both of the Washburn University School of Business, at the School of Business Research Seminar at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 18 in room 104, Henderson Learning Resources Center, Washburn campus. The event is open to the public.
The majority of examples and applications taught in an operations management course continue to focus on tradition manufacturing and do not reflect the changing nature of the real-world marketplace. Price and Roach will present a teaching application focusing on statistical process control in the call center. It can be used to enrich an existing operations management course by bringing it closer to modern day realities.
