

Washburn University and Washburn Institute of Technology will kickoff their United Way campaign at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 10 on the main level, Memorial Union.
Washburn President Jerry Farley and Larry McCoig, president of Equity Bank, spoke about the impact United Way has on our community and what we can do to support United Way. Washburn's 2013 campaign slogan is, "Take a stand, lend a hand."
Supporting United Way and "living united" is crucial to the future of all in our community. United Way, in collaboration with countless volunteers and community partners, is working to ensure everyone in Topeka, Shawnee County and Jefferson County has access to the basic building blocks for a good life: education, income, health and other basic needs.
