“Civil War in Syria” will be the topic at a forum at 7 p.m., Monday, Sept. 23 in room 112 of Henderson Learning Resources Center at Washburn University. No admission is charged and the public is welcome.
Participants include Tom Prasch, history faculty, historical background; Saud Alfaour, Washburn student, Syrian and Saudi perspectives on the conflict; Bassima Schbley, social work faculty, regional issues, with an emphasis on Lebanon; and Chris Hamilton, political science faculty, the question of American intervention.
The design of the forum will be for the participants to offer brief presentations, after which the floor will be open for questions and comments from the audience.
