Currently the editor of Economic Trends monthly newsletter, Goss is the MacAllister Chair and professor of economics at Creighton University, Omaha, Neb., and director of the Goss Institute in Denver, Colo.
To gauge regional economic conditions, Goss conducts a monthly survey of bank CEOs in rural areas of 10 states and a monthly survey of supply managers in 12 states. Results of the surveys appear in more than 100 newspapers and other media outlets each month. He has also appeared on CNN, Fox Business News, National Public Television and BBC.
He is author of “Changing Attitudes toward Economic Reform during the Yeltsin Era” (Praeger Press, 2003) and “Governing Fortune: Casino Gambling in America” (University of Michigan Press, 2007). Goss formerly served as a faculty research fellow with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and was a visiting scholarship with the Congressional Budget Office.
